The romantic drama Cherkess reveals the unusual confrontation between the Cherkess and the Bedouin peoples circa 1900, and how these diverse societies found common values for co-existence to peacefully to create the social structures and backbone of the future Kingdom of Jordan. The social drama and tribal conflicts over water rights and land issues, a smoldering recipe for conflict and bloodshed, take place as the background of a love story between a young Circassian immigrant (Azamat Bekov) and the daughter of a prominent Bedouin Sheikh (Sahar Bishara). As the two young souls fall passionately in love, they create the opportunity for further conflict and bloodshed... as well as for potential harmony and peaceful coexistence; the quintessence of drama, when the pendulum could swing in either direction. The message of the film is simple but universal; that all conflicts can be resolved through dialogue. (Fully subtitled) Official Web Site
